Presentation of the VANSA’s project for the Joubert Park area / Drill Hall / 250209 // présentation des projets VANSA pour le quartier de Joubert Park / Drill Hall / 250209 // (ph : FD)PUBLIC ART SURVIVOR is a workshop, co-ordinated by the Visual Arts Network of South Africa. The workshop runs concurrently to Urban Scenographies and involves three teams of five artists and curators from across South Africa and the continent, developing projects in three locations – Soweto, Joubert Park and Sandton. In each location they will be given a brief to develop a public art intervention to be realised within ten days.Four of the URBAN SCENOGRAPHIES artists, Emeka Udemba, Michelle Harris, Donna Kukama and Unathi Sigenu, participate in this workshopPUBLIC ART SURVIVOR est un workshop, coordonné par VANSA (the Visual Arts Network of South Africa). Ce workshop se déroule parallèlement à la résidence des Scénographies Urbaines. Il implique 3 groupes de 5 artistes et curateurs d’Afrique du sud et du continent, développant des projets dans 3 espaces publics – Soweto, Joubert Park and Sandton. Pour chaque lieu sera élaboré un rapide projet d’intervention artistique dans l’espace public réalisé en 10 jours.
