Idio Chichava (Mozambique) Idio Chichava, danseur et chorégraphe mozambicain, vit entre Maputo et le sud de la France. Il commence la danse en 2000 dans un groupe de danse traditionnelle, et fonde la compagnie Amor da noite en 2001, année où il rencontre la danse contemporaine avec la compagnie CulturArte et Danças na Cidade. Il suit également les ateliers de la chorégraphe brésilienne Lia Rodrigues. En 2005, il rejoint la compagnie Kubilai Khan investigations avec qui il travaille depuis. Parallèlement à ses interprétations, il est très investi dans le travail de transmission et donne de nombreux ateliers. Depuis quelques années il développe ses propres projets avec la Cie con-verge+, des projets de collaboration artistique multidisciplinaires et créatifs toujours dans l’intention que chacun ait un espace pour explorer son propre univers et coexister avec les autres, mais aussi des projets individuels. Il explore notamment les espaces urbains, les musées, les galeries, etc.
Idio Chichava (Mozambique) Mozambican dancer and choreographer Idio Chichava lives between Maputo and the south of France. He began dancing in 2000 in a traditional dance group, and founded the Amor da noite company in 2001, the year in which he encountered contemporary dance with the CulturArte and Danças na Cidade companies. He also attended workshops with Brazilian choreographer Lia Rodrigues. In 2005, he joined the Kubilai Khan investigations company, with whom he has worked ever since. Alongside his performances, he is deeply committed to the work of transmission and gives numerous workshops. For some years now, he has been developing his own projects with Cie con-verge+, multidisciplinary and creative artistic collaborations, always with the intention that each artist should have the space to explore his or her own universe and coexist with others, as well as individual projects. He explores urban spaces, museums, galleries and more.
