Florent Mahoukou développe son travail en 2002 avec la création de sa première pièce «  Corps en Transe  » et de sa compagnie FM/Studio Maho. Le chorégraphe prolonge l’affirmation de sa personnalité artistique avec sa pièce « On the steps ». Lauréate du Prix Puma Créative et de Danse Afrique Danse 2010, et des ballades chorégraphiques urbains qu’il organise dans les rues de Brazzaville, Niamey et Cotonou…Enrichi par les rencontres et expériences qui l’ont nourri dans son parcours d’interprète, au Congo comme à l’étranger – Heddy Maalem, David Bobée (Grp Rictus),  Serge Bissadissi etc… mais également des collaborations avec d’autres chorégraphes comme  : Laurent Longa Fo, Andréya Ouamba, Gregory Maqoma… – son travail chorégraphique s’inspire du territoire urbain et d’univers différents. Contact, fluidité, musicalité, relâchement, suspension, poésie, et les gestes du quotidien constituent les ingrédients de son univers personnel marqué par un surréalisme teinté d’ironie.

Florent Mahoukou develops its work in 2002 with the creation of his first play “Body Trance” and his company FM / Studio Maho. The choreographer extends the assertion of his artistic personality with his play “On the steps” … Winner of Puma Creative Dance and Dance Africa 2010, urban dance and ballads that he organizes in the streets of Brazzaville, Cotonou and Niamey … Enriched by encounters and experiences that fed into his career as an interpreter at Congo and abroad – Heddy Maalem, David Bobée (Grp Rictus), Serge Bissadissi etc … but also collaborations with other choreographers such as: Laurent Longa Fo Andréya Ouamba, Gregory Maqoma … – his choreography is inspired by urban area and different worlds. Contact fluidity, musicality, release, suspension, poetry, and everyday gestures are the ingredients of his personal universe marked by surrealism tinged with irony.
