Amisi Serge est un ancien enfant soldat, devenu artiste. Son travail tourne autour de ce qu’il appelle « la féraille », sculptures en métal qui pour l’essentiel (mais pas seulement) témoignent de son passé. // Amisi Serge is a former kid soldier, which is now artist. His work is about what he calls « old iron », metalic sculptures which are mainly (but not only) testyfing about his past.

Amisi Serge et Yaoundé Mulamba sont deux jeunes artistes congolais. Après leur démobilisation (ils ont été enfants soldats, enrôlés de force), ils se sont formés à l’Espace Masolo de Kinshasa. C’est ainsi qu’ils ont travaillé avec Hubert Mahela (conteur & acteur) Lambert Moseka & Gilbert Meyer (Marionnetistes), Daniel Depoutot (Sculpteur), Thierry De Mey (chorégraphe et vidéaste), Suzanne Lebeau (Ecrivain)… Ils ont tourné en France, Belgique, Autriche, au Congo Brazzaville… Amisi sculpte la ferraille et écrit (un livre, récit de sa vie d’enfant soldat, « Souvenez vous de moi l’enfant de demain a été publié en 2011, aux éditions Vents d’ailleurs), Yaoundé est acteur, marionnettiste et veut faire du cinéma. Tous deux préparent actuellement un projet de Djodjo Kazadi, danseur et chorégraphe ( il a travaillé avec les Studios Kabako de Faustin Linyekula), « Congo my body », un spectacle, entre danse contemporaine et marionnette. // Amisi Serge and Yaoundé Mulamba are two young artists from DRCongo. After their demobilisation (they were kid soldiers, enroled by force), they discovered art at the Massolo space in Kinshasa. There, they’ve worked with Hubert Mahela (story teller and actor), Lambert Moseka and Gilbert Meyer (puppeteers), Daniel Depoutot (sculptor), Thierry de Mey (choreographer and video film maker), Suzanne Lebeau (writer)… They have been on tour in France, Belgium, Austria, Congo Brazzaville.. Amisi is sculpting metalic rubbishes and writes (a book, the story of his kid soldier’s life, « Souvenez vous de moi l’enfant de demain », is published in 2011 by Vents d’Ailleurs editions). Yaoundé is acting, puppeting and wants to work in the cinema. Both are working on a project with Djodjo Kazadi, dancer and choreographer (he worked with the Studios Kabako / Faustin Linyekula), « Congo my Body », a performance between contemporary dance and puppets.
