Pok Chi Lau

Pok Chi Lau was born in British Hong Kong in 1950 to a family of immigrants from rural southern China. His family being a subject for research, Lau has been learning and documenting the forces and outcomes of Chinese Diaspora since 1969. Traveling to 33 countries, the latest one being Cuba, his work has culminated into 3 volumes of books: 1. Dreams of the Golden Mountain, 2003, 2. Flow China, 2008 and 3. Intimate Details of the South (China), 2009. Currently he teaches photography at the University of Kansas.
